NCCP Trampoline Transfer of Qualifications

This is a reminder regarding the recent transfer of Trampoline Gymnastics Levels–NCCP qualifications to the updated NCCP pathway.

This transition took place on January 7, 2026. As a result, you may notice that your coaching transcript in The Locker looks slightly different. An email about this update was sent to all clubs on December 5, 2025.

Review your transcript in The Locker to ensure that all certifications transferred correctly. If anything is missing, or did not transfer properly, please email a copy of the printed transcript (which we previously requested that you keep) to education@abgym.ab.ca. Then we can have it corrected with Gymnastics Canada.

Having a printed copy that includes Locker Event Numbers will serve as proof in the event that any course or certification does not transfer correctly.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to get in touch with Jacqueline Escobar at education@abgym.ab.ca.

We had an amazing time hosting 2026 Élite Canada 🍁 earlier this month!

Shouts to all of the volunteers, parents, and the BMO Centre support staff who made the event run so smoothly. An extra special high five goes to Kate Webster 🦸‍♀️, our Sport Development manager, who led the organizing committee and spent countless hours planning.

I would say, "Take a bow" but Kate is already deep into the planning of the 2026 Provincial Championships and 2026 Gymfest which will both also take place here in Calgary.

We saw over 1,000 spectators take in the action. They arrived from all over North America, including eight provinces and three states. Wow! 🌎

Kate and I are now going over the final numbers so we can determine what worked well, and if there are any potential areas for improvement when it comes to event planning. Our goal, as always, is to put on the best showcase while maintaining cost efficiency.

(P.S. I hope some of you also got to check out the Robotics competition next door, after watching the gymnastics. Those battles were wild 🤖!)

While the rest of the staff are hitting the road for events, and getting ready for Provincials, I am busy creating AGF's annual budget.

It's a big task as we try to envision how the next season will look, and what we hope to accomplish. Nevertheless, like in event planning, I will strive to make sure that each program delivers the maximum possible while keeping fees fair and equitable.

Be excellent to each other, and we'll see you next month!

What's your favorite thing about hosting events?

🎤🤸‍♂️😌

Robin - I love turning long days and countless logistics into meaningful experiences. In sport, events are where preparation meets possibility — moments where athletes shine, communities connect, and everyone leaves with memories they’ll carry forward. In short, events are truly my happy place! 🤩

Kate - I love being able to create a great experience for the athletes! Taking my experiences from being an athlete, a coach, and a judge and combining them into a seamless event for all to take part, is such a great feeling. 😌

Haleigh - I love seeing everyone's photos and videos. It's wonderful to see everyone come together and have fun! 🤩 📸

Will - It’s awesome to see the whole community come together to support the athletes and make everything happen. It’s also a great opportunity to build new connections with the staff from different clubs, and share knowledge and stories. 🙌

Craig - As a huge sportsfan, I love being able to go behind the scenes to watch the action close up. 😎🏟️ We get the best seats in the house when we host!!!

Jackie - There is something truly special about watching our athletes compete in their own backyard with parents, friends, and family in the stands cheering them on. It creates an energy that can’t be replicated. The support from our community makes a real difference and reminds our athletes that they are never alone. 👯‍♂️

Carolyn - I love watching all the athletes compete doing the sport I grew up with. It is great to see the energy and enthusiasm up close. ☺️
