We are looking for volunteers that want to escape the sweltering heat of summer, while also earning money for their gymnastics club. AGF volunteers will be taking over the ACE Casino Airport in Calgary, on July 20th & 21st, and each shift nets their member club a share in the proceeds. We will be working to raise funds for our sport, our athletes, and our programs. This is an awesome opportunity to help out and get to know others in the gymnastics community. Are you intrigued? Training and snacks are provided, and no casino experience is necessary!

We are just a few weeks away from the opening matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup ⚽🏆, and I am amazed at the amount of planning and logistics that must go into hosting such a glamorous tournament. So much work must go on behind the scenes! Whereas FIFA has hundreds of people doing all of that work, at AGF, almost all event-planning falls at the feet of one person; our Sport Development Manager, Kate Webster. One would think that after coordinating 2026 Élite Canada, this month's Provincial Championships, and this weekend's Gymfest that she would take a well deserved break; but instead she's already getting ready for October's AGM and the 2027 Provincials! You rock, Kate 👏🦸♀️ Some good news for our sport arrived this week in the federal government's Spring Economic Update (page 104) . Starting in 2026-2027, $755 million over five years has been pledged to support Canada's sporting system. This would include funding for National Sports Organizations (like Gymnastics Canada) to increase participation at the youth levels, aid in high performance training, and host major events. Sport unites, excites, and inspires, and it is great to know that the government sees its value. I'm looking forward to learning how this new investment is put forth and watching the ensuing effects for all of our gymnasts and participants! Be excellent to each other, and we'll see you at Gymfest!

What’s a random fun fact about you that most people don’t know? 🤔 ✅ 😱
Robin - Most people don’t know that I’ve helped deliver multiple Grey Cups, the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships, and the Saskatchewan Pavilion at the 2010 Olympics—so it’s probably no surprise I love sports and am energized by high-energy crowds!! 🙌 🤩 Kate - I’m bilingual. Guess which one? 😁 Haleigh - I've written a full-length fantasy novel! 📖 I hope to revisit it soon with edits then maybe publish one day! 🙌 Will - I like to golf and go bouldering! ⛳️ 🧗 Craig - I have a Pulsar map tattoo, showing the location of the Earth. So if I’m ever lost in space, aliens know where to bring me home! 🌎🛸😁 Jackie - I have 3 dogs, and they are all different breeds. One is a German Shepherd, Collie mix, and she is 16; the second is a Labrador, Boxer mix, and she is 10; the third is a Golden Doodle, and she is 2. 🐶 ❤️ Jacinda - I can play 4 instruments, all pretty terribly but well enough to pull out for a party trick, in a pinch! 🤏
