MAG & WAG Transfer Course
This a reminder that coaches who transferred from MAG or WAG Level 3 Certified to Competition 3 Certified in 2021 must complete an online course that addresses skills not covered in the Level 3 Technical course. The deadline for completion is January 1st, 2027. Coaches who complete the Transfer Course by the deadline will maintain their Competition 3 Certified status. Coaches who miss the deadline will maintain only Competition 2 Certified status and have their Competition 3 Certified status marked as "not renewed" on their transcript. We ask that you please share the following link with the appropriate coaches, as they must submit a request to enroll in the Transfer Course. The link is also available on GymCan's microsite for Coach Education. Enrollment Request for MAG/WAG Transfer Course for Level 3 Certified Coaches Once their form is submitted, a GymCan staff member will invite them to create an account on our learning management platform, Workleap. Enrollment will then be processed manually by GymCan so there may be a short delay between submitting the form and receiving access.

Level 4 Coaches - Transfer of Qualifications Information
According to the Transfer of Qualifications matrix, coaches who hold Level 4 Certified or Trained status are not required to complete the Transfer Course. Unfortunately, we recently identified an issue where coaches who achieved Level 4 Trained status did not have their qualifications properly transferred in 2021. We are actively reviewing our records and manually updating the affected coachesβ transcripts in the Locker. We are aiming to have these updates completed by September 15th.

TG Transfer: PD Points Locker Issue
GymCan is aware of an issue with the PD point calculation in the Locker for those TG coaches who transferred in January 2026. Currently, their cycle end date is showing as January 2027. We have submitted a ticket requesting that this be changed as it is unreasonable to expect coaches to complete 30 PD points within one year. We will keep you updated on the progress of the ticket in the coming weeks.

Wow. What an intense summer it has been! π€ͺπ’ As you may have heard, the current trade dispute between Canada and the United States has dominated the headlines. Most recently, the Canadian government has decided to impose 15, 25, and 50% counter-tariffs on eligible goods, originating in the US, effective Sept 8. What does this mean for AGF? Currently all of our outfits and goods are manufactured overseas. Because the new rules are applied according to Country of Origin, these new tariffs are not including on anything we are importing. This is great news as it will keep our costs low. Of course, I will continue to monitor the situation and we will be very cognizant of the location of our suppliers. For our clubs, itβs important to point out that Gymnastics Equipment is explicity mentioned under item 9506.91. So it is very important to keep that in mind if you are choosing to purchase from a US based manufacturer. Any equipment that is built and shipped from a supplier in the United States will have an additional 50% tariff added to the cost. Buying local has never been more important! Nonetheless, there may be situations where that isnβt always an option but itβs always a great idea to review your options. ππ΅ Be well, everyone! Many of you will be back to school next week and I wish you the very best.

What kind of music do you listen to when you need to focus? πΆπ€π¨βπ€π
Craig - I've actually been locked in the office recently completing AGFβs year-end processes! So, I have been blasting a playlist full of Sleep TokenπΊπΆ and Evanescence ππ€ It really gets me in the mood. Kate - When I really need to focus, it has to be quiet. I do like to have the TV on with an ocean wave or some other nature scene going on, though! π Haleigh - When I need to focus, the lofi hip hop radio by Lofi Girl on YouTube is my go-to! Nice and chill beats to really help me lock in and grind πππΆ Will - Can't go wrong with country. π€ If I really gotta lock in, heavy rock is a good motivator! πΆπΈ Robin - I love all music, and my playlists are usually rather eclectic. As long as something is on in the background Iβm happy. Maybe not Jazz but other than that β¦ turn it up!!! πΌ Jackie - I need music that is upbeat to keep me going. Nothing slow or else that is trouble! ππͺ© Jacinda - Folk to focus! π Carolyn - I prefer a little bit of silence when I need to focus, but I do enjoy listening to country music! π€
