Debbie McBoyle Stepping Down

Gymnastics BC's Trampoling Gymnastics Coordinator, Debbie McBoyle has announced she will be stepping down from her role at the end of December. Over the coming weeks and months, please join GymBC in congratulating and recognizing Debbie for a job "well done." Her role will have significant responsibilities to fulfill, and there is much work to do, but as Debbie often says, "there always is." Thank you, Debbie, for all you've done and continue to do!

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The GymBC office will be closed on Monday October 2, in observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation which is this Saturday, September 30. 

To engage in meaningful reflection and action on National Truth and Reconciliation Day, consider exploring resources, including books, videos, and online educational materials. Click here for more information. 

GymBC is Seeking Four Directors at Large 

Gymnastics BC’s board of Directors is made up of ten volunteers directors: four of whom are elected by the member clubs; four are appointed by the various standing technical committees; and two are appointed by the board as subject matter specialist, including the Director of Finance. Each year at the AGM, GymBC member clubs meet to elect new directors as members of the board.

Gymnastics Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee have announced Canada’s gymnastics team selected to compete at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. Congratulations to the following gymnasts who are representing BC:

• Sydney Turner (WAG)
• Gabby Flynn (TG)
• Shallon Olsen (WAG Alternate)

2024 Artistic Gymnastics Elite Canada

Gymnastics Canada has selected the host for the 2024 Artistic Gymnastics Elite Canada. 

This year's host is GymBC member club Langley Gymnastics Foundation! The event will be taking place February 15-18, 2024 at the Langley Events Centre. Elite Canada will be hosted in tandem with the 2024 Christy Fraser Memorial Invitational.

Further information will be distributed as it becomes available. 

2024 BC Gymnaestrada - Intent to Participate

Gymnastics BC and Delta Gymnastics are thrilled to be co-hosting the 2024 BC Gymnaestrada Event! This year's theme: Back to the 80's! Join us May 4-5, 2024 at the Richmond Olympic Oval!

The 2023 WAG Technical Assembly will be taking place on Saturday October 14 at the Element Vancouver Metrotown Hotel.

The 2023 Gymnastics For All Assembly meeting will take place virtually on Wednesday October 11 via ZOOM.
