GymBC Membership Update, including 2023-24 Member Club Renewals

The membership fee for 2023-24 is $550 and was approved at the 2022 GymBC AGM. Member Club Renewal Forms and/or payments received after August 31, 2023 will be subject to a $50 late fee.

Please complete the renewal form for your club at your earliest convenience. You can find the renewal form on our website, here. 

The 2023-24 Registration Handbook will be updated and published shortly, as will the Uplifter membership SKUs for the new membership year. For now, you can find the 2023-24 membership fees posted on our website, here.

If you have any Public Access Programming to report through June 2023, please do so as soon as possible since GymBC’s fiscal year-end was June 30.

2023-24 Events Calendar Published 

The Finalized 2023-2024 GymBC Sanctioned Events Calendar has been published on our website. Clubs who submitted sanctioned event requests would also have received an email. Equipment rentals are finalized and those clubs who had requested equipment will be contacted by a GymBC representative soon.

Deadline Extended - GymBC Awards Nominations and Scholarships Applications 

The forms for the GFA and GymBC Awards Nominations as well as the Scholarship Application can be found on the events page here. The deadline for completing and submitting scholarship applications and award nominations has been extended to July 31, 2023. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize outstanding achievements, exceptional talent, and dedication within the gymnastics community!

2023 MAG Retreat & Assembly

The men's program will be holding their annual retreat and assembly this year in Whistler, BC at the Whistler Athletes' Centre from August 18-20, 2023. Meetings will take place in the Performance Hub, directly beside the Whistler Athletes' Centre accommodations. This retreat and assembly is open to any member of Gymnastics BC; e.g., club admins, coaches, judges, athletes, etc. For more information, click here!

2023 GFA Retreat

The 2023 GFA Retreat event will be held in Nanaimo, BC at VIP Gymsports over the weekend of August 25-27, 2023, and is our keynote GFA Education and Networking opportunity. Join us as we host a weekend of technical and administrative workshops, social events, and fun activities to get your GFA Coaches and Program Managers recharged and excited for the Fall Session!

BC TG Athletes at the World Cup in Portugal

Congratulation to BC athletes Gavin Dodd, Gabby Flynn, Taylor Pillinger, and Hannah Brown who competed this past weekend at the World Cup in Santarem, Portugal. 

Gabby captured the Gold Medal in women’s DMT while Gavin won Silver. Hannah finished DMT in 4th place, and Taylor finished 16th on SR W tumbling.

Next up, is the Coimbra Cup (July 7-8th), where Gavin Dodd, Samantha Smith and Kayla Howell will all be vying to podium finishes.  We are excited and proud to be cheering you on during your successes!
