New Grant: Rally Together Fund A $4M Rally Together Fund has been developed to provide one-time recovery funding for amateur sport organizations who have seen a decrease in membership or volunteerism through COVID-19. This fund will help to ensure that B.C.’s amateur sport system continues to provide opportunities for sport development and recovery as well as the significant community and economic benefits. Funding is available for non-profit provincial sport organizations, disability sport organizations, multi-sport organizations and local sport organizations. Specifically, the grant is intended to support the development of programs focused on rebuilding sport participation ($2M) and the recruitment and retention of volunteers ($2M).
The grant is open from September 23 to November 4, 2022, to fund programs running between December 1, 2022 and January 15, 2024.

Same Game Challenge: Apply Now Canadian Women & Sport is pleased to extend an invitation to sport and recreation organizations across Canada to apply for the Same Game Challenge thanks to funding support from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (Jumpstart). This project will support organizations to advance gender equity and improve opportunities for women and girls as participants and leaders in sport. Applications for this first cohort are open from Thursday, Sept. 1 to Sun, Oct. 2 at 8:59pm. Same Game Challenge will officially begin January 2023 and will run through until July 2023. 2022 GFA Program Assembly The GFA Program Assembly will take place virtually on Friday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. PST. All registered GymBC members in good standing are welcome to attend. Please ensure the following documents are completed (as appropriate): - Registration Link
- Registered attendees will receive an e-mail with the meeting agenda and other details closer to the date.
- Voting Delegate Form
- All attending clubs must indicate who the designated voting delegate from their organization will be. The form must be completed by the main club representative/chair/owner. Your designated representative must be confirmed by Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
- Each member club may name a maximum of one voting delegate. No votes by proxy are permitted.
- 2022-23 GFA Committee Nomination Form

- All member-at-large positions are up for election. The Chair position will not be up for re-election until 2023.
- Nominations will be accepted until end of day on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.

Aboriginal Coaching Module - Victoria Inspire Sports Victoria is pleased to announce that an Aboriginal Coaching Module will be hosted at their facility on Sun, Oct 16 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This course is open to Indigenous and non-Indigenous coaches, judges, administrators, board members, and all those who care about moving sport forwards in a good way. Thanks to our partners at ISPARC and Inspire Sports, this course is being offered FREE of charge with food and beverages provided throughout the day (including lunch).

Upcoming Learning Facilitator (LF) Training GymBC is happy to announce that we have scheduled LF Training from December 27 – 31 on Vancouver Island. We are offering LF Training for Competition Introduction (C1) MAG and WAG, and Competition Introduction Development (C2) MAG and WAG. Interested applicants are encouraged to be certified at one level higher than the level they intend to facilitate; however if you have extensive experience at the same level exceptions can be made on an individual basis. The application form can be found by clicking on the button below. Please ensure to sure to sign up for Core Training if you are not already an LF. Please note: This training will remain exclusively open to BC coaches until October 15, 2022, after which time it will be open for registration to LFs across Canada.
