GymBC Holiday Office Hours

The GymBC office will be closed from December 22, 2023 - January 1, 2024 inclusively, reopening on January 2, 2024.

Some staff may work remotely and at intermittent hours during this time, but please anticipate a longer response time for any inquiries. 

Congratulations Andrée Montreuil 

GymBC would like to extend an extra special congratulations to Andrée Montreuil for the nomination and the confirmation of her judging assignment to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

This is the culmination of years of dedication, work, volunteerism, leadership, passion, and mentorship and we could not be more proud of you Andrée!

Safe Sport/Compliance Pilot

GymCan is looking for people to take part in a Safe sport/Compliance Pilot project. Click here to participate.

The cost to participate is free, however a $25 backcheck fee still applies. 

Reminder to Sign Up for Coaching Courses

Make sure to register soon for any coaching courses over the holidays! 

Due to our holiday office closure, all course registrations for courses December 27, 2023 through January 6, 2024 will close at 4:00pm on December 21, 2023.

2024-25 Sanction Event Requests Open

The first round of bidding for 2024-25 sanctioned events is now open! This round will remain open until February 15, 2024.

BC Championships and Gymnaestrada Bidding 

Bidding is open to host the 2026 and 2027 BC Championships and Xcel Challenge, and the 2025 and 2026 BC Gymnaestrada events. Click here for more information! 

The deadline to place a bid is coming up quickly on December 15, 2023! Selected clubs will be contacted by Gymnastics BC directly, if they have been chosen to host.

Alberta's 2024 Gymfest Event 

GymBC is pleased to promote Alberta's 2024 Gymfest event with our member clubs! The event takes place April 26-28, 2024 at Mount Royal University in Calgary. If you are interested in attending with your recreation program, click here for more information!

Dare to Care Anti Bullying Coach Training

GymBC is excited to partner with Dare to Care to offer a free Anti Bullying Course for coaches! Dare to Care is a unique program regarded as Canada's most comprehensive and practical bully prevention program. Dare to Care enables schools, sports organizations, community groups, and workplaces to mobilize and maintain a caring community.

This online seminar takes place on January 20, 2024 from 2:30 - 5 p.m. Click here to register! 

GFA Regional Workshop

Gymnastics BC is thrilled to collaborate with clubs across the province to organize Regional Workshops for recreational coaches.

These regional workshops aim to unite coaches from various clubs, providing opportunities to share insights, enhance coaching skills, and foster a collaborative learning environment.
