Keara Urquhart Departing GymBC

Keara Urquhart will be departing from Gymnastics BC to pursue a new career opportunity after seven incredibly successful years of dedicated service. Keara has been an integral part of our team, and her contributions have made a significant impact on our organization and the gymnastics community as a whole.

Throughout her tenure, Keara exhibited unparalleled commitment, passion, and professionalism. Her hard work and dedication played a vital role in the growth and success of Gymnastics BC; her tireless efforts in organizing events, implementing programs, and driving initiatives have left an indelible mark on the organization, and her positive influence will be felt for years to come.

Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Keara, for her outstanding contributions and in wishing her the very best in all her future pursuits. We are excited to share that she has plans to open a new recreational gym on the Sunshine Coast in the near future! Thank you, and good luck Keara!

GymBC Office Closed - Monday September 4

The GymBC office will be closed on Monday, September 4 to observe the Labour Day Holiday. We will be back in office on Tuesday, September 5. 

Enjoy the last long weekend of the summer! We are looking forward to getting back into the gymnastics season!

National Coaches Week - September 16-24

National Coaches Week is September 16-24! Keep an eye on the Education Calendar for reduced cost courses, PD opportunities, and more! As part of National Coaches Week, September 24 will be the first Annual Pro-D Day! Clubs who are able to are encouraged to give their coaches the day off or a day off in lieu so that they are able to attend some of the PD opportunities offered that day!

GymBC is Seeking Four Directors at Large 

Gymnastics BC’s board of Directors is made up of ten volunteers directors: four of whom are elected by the member clubs; four are appointed by the various standing technical committees; and two are appointed by the board as subject matter specialist, including the Director of Finance. Each year at the AGM, GymBC member clubs meet to elect new directors as members of the board. Click here for more information on how to apply. 

GymBC Awards & Scholarships Night & AGM

The GymBC Annual Awards and Scholarships Night presented by Sport Burnaby, and the AGM is happening October 14-15 in the Evergreen Ballroom at the Element Vancouver Metrotown Hotel! This is an incredible weekend to come together, connect with the community, and celebrate our passion for gymnastics together.
