Remembering Devyn Gale

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of former BC gymnast, Devyn Gale. Devyn was a member of Revelstoke Acrobats and will be remembered for her exceptional talent and dedication to anything she did. Beyond her skills, she was a kind, empathetic, and compassionate soul who touched the lives of many.

During this difficult time, Gymnastics BC extends our deepest sympathies to Devyn's family, friends, and community. May her memory be a source of comfort and strength as we come together to honor her life and the indelible mark she left on all of us. 

Deadline Extended - GymBC Awards Nominations and Scholarships Applications

GymBC Awards & Scholarships Night & AGM

The GymBC Annual Awards and Scholarships Night presented by Sport Burnaby, and the AGM is happening October 14-15, 2023 in the Evergreen Ballroom at the Element Vancouver Metrotown Hotel! This is an incredible weekend to come together, connect with the community, and celebrate our passion for gymnastics together.

Cheer On Team BC TG Athletes at the 2023 Canadian Championships!

2023 GFA Retreat

The 2023 GFA Retreat event will be held in Nanaimo, BC at VIP Gymsports over the weekend of August 25-27, 2023, and is our keynote GFA Education and Networking opportunity. Join us as we host a weekend of technical and administrative workshops, social events, and fun activities to get your GFA Coaches and Program Managers recharged and excited for the Fall Session!

Xcel Change - Diamond Category Added!

We are pleased to inform you of the upcoming change to the Xcel programming in British Columbia. The Xcel program was partially implemented in BC for the 2020-2021 season with the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels only. Platinum was added for the 2022-2023 season and, in its inaugural year, 44 athletes from 14 different clubs were registered. 

The WTC is in favour of including the Diamond category for the upcoming season! Please note that coaches must be C2 trained to coach Diamond athletes and C2 certified to be on the field of play with them. 

We hope that this is a positive additional tool for clubs! As per all other programming, clubs can chose to utilize this level or not as part of their offerings.

Explore the impact of Coach well-being on self, athletes and colleagues, and the links to optimal personal and sport performance, examine your needs and the barriers (internal and systemic beliefs) to your well-being, and learn practical tools to create the ecosystem that will allow you to perform at your best and optimize your role as a Coach!
