Canada Winter Games: Results

On the third competition day for gymnastics at the Canada Winter Games in PEI, the Artistic Gymnastics team event saw Team BC pick up a Silver medal on the MAG side. In the trampoline synchro event, BC finished 5th in women’s and 6th in men’s. 

On day four of the games, a strong team effort saw Team BC earn Bronze in the Artistic Gymnastics female team event. 

On day five of the event, Ethan Ikeda (MAG) and Sydney Love Schmidt (TG) both finished strong in their respective disciplines placing 4th, meanwhile Brooklyn Lee-McMeeken won Gold in the trampoline individual event.

Competitive Category: Registration Deadline 

This is a reminder that competitive artistic athletes must be registered in the level/category they will be competing in at BC Championships, by March 1, 2023. 

Note: following BC Champs, athletes may move UP in category (but not down).

If you registered any of your competitive artistic athletes in the new Competitive UNDECLARED category, OR you registered athletes at a lower level than they will be competing in and you need to move them to the correct level/category, then you MUST withdraw them from the current category that they are registered in FIRST (i.e. UNDECLARED Competitive Athlete, CPP L1, Provincial L1 etc.), in order to then register them in the correct competitive category.

ViaSport are offering a final free Bystander Intervention training workshop.

This session is available for everyone: Youth participants, coaches, parents, and anyone who wants to get better at speaking up when things aren't right!

FIG World Cup 2023 AGD Trophy: Results

Congratulations to Shasta Athletes- Maja Bonham and Gabby Flynn, who accomplished a personal best in Synchro trampoline this past weekend at the FIG World Cup 2023 AGF Trophy, the series opener of the trampoline world cups. Placing 4^th, the pair narrowly missed out on a bronze medal by just 1.09 points behind the United States. Also competing in individual trampoline Gabby finished in 13^th place and Maja in 17^th.

With each successful world cup event, the athletes will accumulate ranking points towards earning the title of World Cup series champion!
