Meet our Coaches

Jamie Benson

Jamie Benson, co-owner of FlipSide, found her passion for coaching as a teenager when she became head coach of her hometown gymnastics club in Outlook.  Since then, gymnastics has always been a big part of Jamie’s life.  She has coached recreational and competitive Women’s Artistic and Trampoline athletes at clubs in Outlook, Saskatoon, Regina, and Moose Jaw.  Jamie enjoys learning about the many disciplines of gymnastics and is Comp 2 Certified in Women’s & Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, trained Comp 3 for these disciplines as well, Comp 1 Trampoline certified, Foundations Active Start trained, Level 2 Certified in Parkour/Freerunning, has a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan, current First Aid/CPR, and has completed many safe sport training courses.

Jamie was the Program Manager at Gymnastics Saskatchewan for 10 years, is a Coach Developer which allows her to train and evaluate new coaches and was previously a Women’s Artistic and an Acrobatic Gymnastics judge.

Jamie has two kids of her own and enjoys being active with her kids outdoors and through sport programs.  She is enthusiastic about teaching children how to move their bodies and protect themselves when they fall.  The thing Jamie loves most about coaching gymnastics is seeing gymnasts improve and master new skills.

Chantelle Rogowski

Chantelle Rogowski is the other co-owner of FlipSide, along with her sister Jamie. She took gymnastics throughout her younger years and then transitioned into assistant coach and then a head coach of the Outlook Gymnastics Club. She is Comp 1 Women's Artistic Trained, Gymnastics Foundations Artistic Certified, Active Start Trained, and has her standard First Aid/CPR C. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Regina. Chantelle loves coaching gymnastics and enjoys watching the athletes improve throughout the session. She believes one of the best things about coaching gymnastics is watching an athlete perform a skill that they couldn’t do previously or were too afraid to try.

When she isn’t coaching gymnastics, Chantelle works full-time in Regina as a Project Coordinator for an ag-tech startup company. She resides on a farm outside of Holdfast with her fiancé, Danny. During her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding in the winter and spending time outdoors in the summer either camping or at the lake.

Jerzy Simmons

Hi! My name is Jerzy and I'm currently a grade 12 student at Lumsden High School.  I have done Rhythmic gymnastics for a total of eight years, and have had a lot of experience with babysitting kids ranging from 6 months old to 12 years old. A fun fact about me is that I love to travel.  In the past year I've been to San Diego, Edmonton and I go to British Columbia every summer to go camping!

Kamryn Fiacco

Hi, I’m Kamryn! I am a 16 year old 12th grade student at Lumsden High School. I did gymnastics for 10 years starting from the time I could walk. I am currently a 2nd year Crossfit athlete. I’m excited to start coaching and share my passion of movement and sports with others!

Sara Deck

Hello! My name is Sara. I'm 17 years old, and in my Grade 12 year at Lumsden High School. When I am not coaching I can be found in the studio dancing, or spending time outside in the sun! Alongside coaching, I work at a movie theatre, where I can be found serving popcorn! I am so excited for the season ahead of us, and hope that all of our participants can be able to learn and play at the same time!
