Welcome: Aidan & Bobby!

GymBC welcomes Bobby Kriangkum & Aidan Muth who have joined our team as Recreation Program Coordinator and Recreation Program Assistant Coordinator respectively. They will work closely with the GFA Committee to advance a number of program initiatives identified in their annual strategic plan. 

Bobby will focus on GFA Committee initiatives & connecting GymCan programming content for member clubs but will work mostly remotely. Bobby can be contacted by email: bkriangkum@gymbc.org 

Aidan will be based out of GymBC’s Vancouver office & work on content development, direct club support and BC Gymnaestrada planning. Inquiries can be sent to: amuth@gymbc.org

 

GymBC Committee Review and Alignment Project Survey

Gymnastics BC would like to invite any individual to contribute their ideas, feedback and suggestions on the Technical Committees to complete this survey. This encompasses all four (4) Technical Committees:

• Women's Technical Committee (WTC)
• Men's Technical Committee (MTC)
• Trampoline Gymnastics Technical Committee (TGTC)
• Gymnastics for All Committee (GFAC)

The Committee Review and Alignment Project is an example of GymBC’s commitment to our sport and community. 

This survey is being conducting by Sport Law to ensure anonymity and we hope you can provide as much honest feedback as you can. 

The survey itself will remain open until November 18.

BC Sport Participation Program

The BC Sport Participation Program supports programs that attract children, youth, Indigenous and under-represented populations to lead active and healthy lifestyles.

With a busy month on the horizons, the deadline for this grant has been extended from November 18 to November 29.

2023 BC Gymnaestrada

Mark your calendars – the 2023 BC Gymnaestrada will take place from May 26-28, 2023 at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC.

Event Theme: It’s a Small World

Concept: Celebrating Diversity in Sport - The event will be centered around showcasing the beauty of diversity, art, movement and culture around the world!

World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

A huge congratulations to our BC representation: Zachary Clay & coach Richard Ikeda who attended the World Championships. Zach finished 11^th on Pommel Horse and was third reserve for the finals. Zach also helped the team finish 10^th overall.

Congratulations to WAG Team Canada who were awarded the Fujitsu Infinity Award at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Congratulations to our BC representatives: Sydney Turner, Shallon Olsen and Team Canada Coach: Barb Fraser.

2023 Canada Winter Games: WAG Judges Announcement 

Congratulations to the following WAG judges from BC, who have been selected for the Canada Winter Games in February 2023: Heather Ivanitz, Krista Cameron and Momona Komagata.
