SEPTEMBER 14, 2022

GymBC Office Closure

The federal government announced that September 19, 2022 will be a National Day of Mourning in Canada. This follows the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022 and coincides with the State Funeral being held in London.

The GymBC physical office will be closed in observance of the event. However, as this is not an official stat holiday in BC, staff may be working remotely.

If you require immediate assistance during this time, please direct your inquiries to: info@gymbc.org.

Nathan Kindrachuk Departing GymBC

Following two and a half successful years with Gymnastics BC, Nathan Kindrachuk is moving on from Gymnastics BC to pursue a new career opportunity. His last day will be on September 29.

Nathan has strengthened our community on so many levels through his expert insight, compassion and unwavering dedication to support those he has connected and built trusted relationships since he started with GymBC in 2020. Additionally, his influence and energies have greatly and positively affected the SafeSport conversation beyond the province and across Canada. He has helped establish GymBC as a national leader in advancing this important mission.

GymBC would like to assure our members that our commitment to good governance, safe sport and risk management role will continue. We will be posting for a new Safety Officer to continue positive growth and development in this area.

Please join us in thanking Nathan for his good service and wishing him all the best in his new endeavour. Thank you, Nathan!

Coaches Week: Call for Media!

Clubs, athletes, staff coaches and parents - we need your help!

GymBC would like to put together a short reel at the conclusion to National Coaches Week. This will only be possible if we receive enough good quality media submissions of coaches in action across all disciplines.

Help us make this happen by submitting media HERE, or by emailing content to: communications@gymbc.org. If choosing to email content, please clarify what discipline the individuals are involved in (if it's not clear).
