As of April 1, 2026, SOME Permanent Residents of Canada who have been PRs for more than six years will no longer have access to settlement services.

This change will not affect Refugees or Family Class immigrants.

This change will only affect Economic Class immigrants.

Filing your taxes on time every year is important. There are many benefits for individuals and families that you must file taxes to receive. 

You can get support with filing taxes on April 15 in Banff.  Drop in to speak one‑on‑one with agents from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). 

Get help with: 

• CRA online accounts
• printing Notices of Assessment
• questions about taxes and federal benefits/programs including the Canadian Dental Care Plan, Employment Insurance (EI), and seniors/disability benefits (OAS, CPP, CPP Disability, and special benefits such as sickness and maternity).

The Job Resource Centre is hosting a Summer 2026 Job Fair in Canmore on April 17th.

The fair connects employers, job seekers and service providers.

These supports are available here in the Bow Valley and are provided for FREE.
