Activity Messenger allows you to host an event calendar on your microsite. You can direct clients, staff and volunteers to the calendar page. You can even embed the calendar on your website.
Go to the Microsites tab and choose either the Client Portal (for a calendar intended for clients) or the Staff Portal (for internal use).
In design mode, you can add a calendar to an existing page or create a new page dedicated to the calendar.
Determine who can access the calendar: the general public, only clients, members, administrators, or specific users.
You can also protect access with a password or limit it to those who have completed a specific form.
To add a calendar to your page, click on (+) and select the calendar block found under the Forms and Management tab. The calendar settings pop-up window will open.
Customize your calendar by giving it a title and selecting the display that suits you: month, week, or day. You can set the default view and choose to display the current date or a specific date.
The calendar offers three views (month, week, day), and you can choose which ones will be visible and which one will be displayed by default. It is also possible to limit the display hours, such as between 9 AM and 10 PM.
Add a color legend to identify different types of events (for example, classes in yellow, events in blue). You can place the legend at the top or bottom of the calendar and customize the colors and labels as needed.
The calendar can display multiple types of events. Event Sources allow you to retrieve class schedules or dates captured from any form. Expand the Event Source section and click the (+) button to create a new event source.
Select the form associated with the event, then choose a color for that event on the calendar. You can add multiple events from different forms and customize their display.
Display Dates Entered in Form Responses: Events will be shown based on the responses provided in a specific form. For example, for a birthday party, the child's name and the event date can be visible. If you are approving events, you can hide the submitted events. By going back to the form respondents, you can modify the submitted responses to change the event title, date, and subtitle.
Display Class Dates from a Registration Form: Clicking on an event in the calendar will automatically open the registration form for that class or event.
Display Class Dates: Select the classes you wish to display. A detailed description of the selected class, as well as an attendance list, will be accessible by clicking on it.
Display Reservations and Classes Assigned to Resources (Locations or Staff Members): View classes and reservations associated with a specific location or staff member.
Click on "+" to create a custom event (e.g., "Pottery Class").
A custom event can have a date, a time, or, if it is an all-day event, a start and end date. You can provide a title, subtitle, and color. You can write a description for the popup. You can also link a form, which will add a button in the popup to open the form (for example, to open the event registration form). Finally, you can also embed a Google Maps card in the popup by providing an address.
Once saved, the event will appear on the calendar along with other events.
When your client clicks on the custom event in the calendar, this popup will open
Once the calendar is set up, users will be able to navigate between monthly, weekly, or daily views.
When they click on an event, it will open the registration form for events related to Activity Messenger or redirect to an external link for other types of events.
