Abandoned forms

This guide explains how to create an automation to send an email or SMS to someone who has abandoned a registration form. This automation is particularly useful when:

  • A person wishes to enroll in a course or day camp.
  • The person fills out the form up to the payment stage but does not finalize the payment.

Often, people return later to complete their registration, or they may have simply forgotten or not had their wallet handy. This automation helps remind users to complete their registration.

# Create the automation

Go to the Communication menu, navigate to the automation section, and click on Create.

Select Abandoned Form and click on create. 

Click on the button that turns on the "Yes" to activate the robot. 

Select the relevant form. For example: Day camp registration.

Define the delay after which the automation should trigger. For instance, 'Three days after the person has not completed their registration.

Click to configure the message having used other templates or examples. 

Hello [First Name],

We noticed that you haven't completed your registration. Simply click [here] to finalize it. All your previously entered information is already saved to make the process quick and easy.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Best regards,
[Your Organization Name]"

The link will redirect the person back to the registration page with their details pre-filled for convenience.

When the person clicks on "Finalize my registration," they are redirected to the form with all previously entered information pre-filled. They can continue from there and complete the payment.

This automation is an excellent way to increase the number of completed registrations, whether for surveys or other types of forms. It allows you to:

  • Recover abandoned registrations.
  • Increase the number of completed sales or registrations.
  • Help users who may have forgotten or didn’t have time to complete their registration.
