Your privacy is important to us. It is Activity Messenger’s policy to respect your privacy regarding information we may collect on our website,, and on other sites we own and operate.

Personal information

For merchants

We only ask for personal information when we really need it to provide you with a service. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also inform you of the purposes for which we collect it and how it will be used.

The information we collect may include

  • Your platform login details: name, e-mail address, phone number and password. This information allows you to connect to the platform and allows us to contact you to offer you the service.
  • Payment information to pay monthly installments and platform fees.

This personal information will be used to provide you with the platform service. It will be destroyed within 90 days after your account is closed.

For customers

If you do business with a merchant who uses the platform to manage their business, we collect personal information on behalf of that merchant. We use this data only as instructed by the merchant to enable them to offer you their service.

Personal information collected may include

  • Contact information: name, e-mail address, telephone number and address
  • Demographic information: age, gender, family members, teammates
  • Connection data: IP address, cookies
  • Bank details to enable payment to their service
  • Marketing communication preferences, e.g. subscription to their newsletter
  • Credit card information is collected by Stripe, our payment engine, and is not collected by the platform.
  • Other personal information you have transmitted by filling out a form designed by the merchant

For Quebec residents:

  • Recreation corporations may transmit your postal code and registration data to the public administration.
  • We also transmit your social insurance number to the government for RL-24 tax credit purposes.

Please refer to the merchant’s privacy policy for the retention period and purpose of your personal information.

Retention, storage, consultation and sharing

We keep the information we collect only as long as is necessary to provide you with the service you have requested. The data we store is protected by commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

Data is stored in Canada (Montreal) on AWS servers. Please consult our security guide for more information.

Our employees are located in Canada and may access the information collected in order to provide you with the requested service.

We do not share personally identifiable information with the public or third parties, except as required by law.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites and cannot be held responsible for their respective privacy policies.

Data Breach Policy

In the unlikely event of a data breach, defined as the loss, unauthorized access to, or unauthorized disclosure of personal information resulting from a breach of an organization’s security measures, Activity Messenger will take appropriate steps to:

  1. Make an assessment of the incident’s risk factors on people involved
  2. Contact the merchant and/or customer to inform them of the data breach and the measures taken
  3. Document the incident in our internal records
  4. For Quebec residents: Inform the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) if the leak is considered significant by both us and the merchant.

Your rights and access to your personal information

You may log in to your account at any time to view your personal information. You can withdraw from the service by contacting us at We will contact the merchant and assist them in destroying your information on the platform.

You are free to decline our request for access to personal information, with the understanding that we may not be able to provide you with some of the services you request.
