This month, Activity Messenger introduces several updates focused on administrative management, payments, and communications. These enhancements are built to support organizations like yours in their daily operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Table of contents:

🎟️ Issue Coupons Directly from an Invoice

Admins can now generate coupons directly from an invoice after crediting an item. For example, if a private class was booked and paid but later canceled, a coupon can be created for the purchased item and redeemed later for the same activity or service.

This feature allows organizations to:

  • Keep a clear record of issued credits;
  • Reuse the amount for the same activity or service;
  • Avoid manual follow-ups and confusion.

💡 Note: If a payment is deleted by mistake, associated coupons are automatically archived.

📱 Marketing SMS Campaigns with Automatic Compliance

Sending marketing SMS campaigns is now compliant by default. Activity Messenger automatically applies anti-spam rules to meet Canadian legislation and carrier requirements.

Each marketing message includes:

  • Clear identification of the sender;
  • A standard opt-out notice (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”).

💰 Member Pricing Based on Membership Dates

Member pricing can now be applied automatically based on membership validity:

  • For rules where “price is for all events,” the member discount applies if the first event occurs during the membership period;
  • For drop-ins (rules where “price is for one event”), member pricing now applies only to events that fall within the membership period.

💡 Note: This update ensures correct pricing is applied automatically and helps maintain fairness between members and non-members.

💳 Deferred and Split Payments for Multi-Player Bookings

For bookings involving multiple players, payment can now be deferred until the end of the booking and split among participants. Each player receives an email showing the amount due and instructions to add or update their credit card.

At checkout, the “Pay after booking” option schedules payments automatically for each participant, processed at the end of the booking.
