Generate certificates in bulk
Generate a personalized certificate for each person in a list, then download the batch or send the documents. Start with a finished design; use the certificate design guide if you still need to create its background and fields.
Prepare the data
Choose the list or form that contains the intended participants and the values used by the design. For assessment certificates, confirm that the evaluations have been completed and their questions are connected to the required placeholders. Do not infer that everyone on a class list has passed an assessment.
Apply and inspect
- Open the certificate and select Apply.
- Choose the list or form.
- Cycle through recipients and inspect each type of result, including long names and missing values.
- Correct the design or source data before generating the full batch.
For swimming levels, for example, verify the participant, achieved level and instructor rather than checking only the appearance of the background.
Download and print
Use the PDF preparation/download control in the Apply window to create the batch. Review the resulting PDF before printing. The badge format arranges six badges per page for Avery 5392 paper; check printer scale and alignment with a test page.
For documents based on a multi-page PDF template, follow the dedicated PDF-document guide and its batch limits.
Send the certificates
Select Send, review the recipient list, channel and message, then test with a suitable test recipient. Email can include the personalized certificate; SMS supplies a link. Check the actual completed document rather than testing only the message body.
A Certificate block in a reusable message template lets you keep a consistent accompanying message. It still needs the right recipient context to fill in the fields.
Review the final audience before the real bulk send and inspect its tracking afterward. See certificate design, PDF documents and message tracking.
